Trying to Kool off

Goodies....

Goodies....

Everywhere!

I've had a couple of deliveries in the last week... 50 packs of Kool-Aid finally arrived all the way from The US. I was hoping there would be some blue ones but they were replaced with other colours. I've been wanting to do a blue/turquoise/green yarn so I'll have to buy more...what a shame!!

I also got 4 balls of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran in Kingfisher to knit a raglan sweater for my best mate's little boy, Sam, now 3 weeks old. In the same parcel was 3 balls of Rowan Cotton Glace in Pier to knit him a lovely little jumper for Christmas!! (I know I said I wouldn't knit gifts again but babies are different!)

Don't those packets of Kool-Aid just make you smile? They are so cheery!! And so American? I can't think of anything British with such cheerful packaging, can you?

Lovely cashmerino!! - Don't forget to wear gloves when using the kool-aid (yep it really is that bad!!!, and please don't ask how I know!) - and although I don't have children, I don't think I'd ever use it as a drink!!!! (They'll be high for a month!) - Hope I'm not teaching you to suck eggs!!!! ;)

Thanks for visiting my blog from across the pond. You Brits have such a great heritage and ginormous pool of talent to pull from, that we Yanks can only sit back and admire (well, drool too.)

Have been to GB twice in the last few years.Last time I had to buy a sports bag at Picadilly Circus to hold all the Rowan & Jaeger yarn I brought back from Liberty. You should have seen the look on the face of the customs official - priceless! I just looked at him and said, "You pick your souvenirs and I'll pick mine!"

Blessings (and enjoy your little one - blink and they're taller than you!)

You are going to get some great colours with the Kool aid. The house will smell all fruity!
